EducationColorado.org is an Educational advocacy organization established by The Salt and Light Institute, LLC., originating from here in Colorado. The Salt and Light Institute was legally formed in June, 2023 to inform Coloradans on the issue of Educational Freedom, and seek to reform Colorado’s educational system.

Our nation, as well as Colorado has a long history of protecting the liberty of its citizens. Because the U.S. Supreme Court has held that Compulsory Education benefits society, all children between the ages of 6 -17 must attend school. Therefore the State of Colorado funds government-run public schools (paid for by the taxes collected from all Coloradans) for parents to send their children to, but parents who believe enrolling their children in these government-run schools is not in the best interests of their child’s educational growth and development must pay from their own pocketbooks to educate their children. We believe that since the State requires all school-age children be educated, parents ought to be able to exercise their fundament parental right to choose the education that best reflects their beliefs and values.

We are forming a grassroots advocacy organization to legally and monetarily bring freedom to parents and legal guardians of minor children that enables them to choose a private education that best meets their children’s needs.

We need citizens who value educational freedom to help us extend educational liberty to all by, 1) volunteering to help with all the organizational positions needed to build a grass-roots organization, 2) donate money to help pay for the expenses of organizing this campaign. We have no endowment, no affiliations that provide funding, we rely solely on citizens who wish to support freedom in education.
